Documents often contain sensitive information. This page explains how GenDocX handles your files and what to watch for when using it.
How files are handled
Account isolation
Uploaded files and generated documents belong to your account and are isolated from other accounts.
Separate working directories
Each session processes documents in its own working directory.
Controllable deletion
Files in the library can be deleted at any time, with confirmation first.
Recommended practice
Confirm authorization first
Do not upload third-party materials you are not authorized to use. For customer data, check contractual and internal requirements first.
Tier your sensitive data
Redact highly sensitive content such as ID numbers and bank accounts before uploading, or only upload once policy permits.
Clean up promptly
Delete files you no longer need after a task to reduce long-term retention risk.
